PTA Fundraiser Goal: $15,000

This year, our PTA is raising funds to support programs and improvements that directly benefit our students and teachers. Your contributions will help us continue important PTA programs such as Classroom Grants, Teacher Appreciation, the Spring Dance,Teacher Start-Up Funds, and PTA general operating expenses.

In addition, we are working toward two exciting school improvements:

•  A new library circulation desk for the Media Center to replace the bulky outdated one and better match the updated library furniture.
• Replacing old PE equipment so students can enjoy safe, long-lasting play.

What are PTA Classroom Grants?

Classroom Grants allow teachers to request additional resources that benefit all students in their classrooms. Thanks to PTA funds, past grants have supported:

• ELA poetry/writing manipulatives
• Spanish wipebooks
• Drama foam floor mat
• PE Care Closet
• ESL multilingual books
• ELA stools & Harlem Renaissance supplies
• Blacklights for “Cobwebs and Cocoa”
• Flexible seating

Every contribution makes a direct impact—enhancing both learning and play for our students while supporting the teachers who inspire them every day.

Thank you for supporting Bob Jones Color Guard!

 Madison City Schools is excited to report the launch of its “Supporting Our Students” campaign.
This donor-supported fund will provide help for MCS students who may struggle paying for a yearbook, class field trip, ACT prep assistance, tutoring, academic fee, cap and gown – any out-of-pocket expense related to a school function, class or extra-curricular.
In the past, many wonderful teachers and staffs have generously covered such expenses - often anonymously. The new Supporting our Students initiative will be funded by donations channeled through LeanStream and doled out by a committee on a case-by-case basis. All donations to this fund will be tax deductible.
What a great resource for our families. We want to make sure all students have equal opportunities to participate in all activities without having to worry about cost. The Supporting our Students program will be promoted primarily from  Giving Tuesday through the month of December each year. However, your generous donations will be accepted throughout the year.

What impact will my gift make? 

• $10 - Basic needs (haircuts, laundry services, hygiene supplies)
• $25 - Credit Recovery for a high school student
• $25 - Field Trip fee
• $30 - Basic needs (clothing, shoes, coats, job uniform)
• $40 - Yearbook
• $50 - Cap & Gown
• $75 - Assistance with Fine Arts fee 
• $100 - Assistance with Sports fee

These are just a few examples of areas of impact that your gift will make! We appreciate the continuous support of our students!

Help send middle school students to space camp with their class! Space Camp is $600.00 per camper.

Your generous support will help us purchase new instruments, music, and classroom supplies, as well as cover important expenses like transportation. This spring, our students have the exciting opportunity to represent our school at the Orlandofest competition in Orlando, Florida. With your donation, you’ll not only invest in the success of our band program, but also in the growth, confidence, and lifelong memories of our young musicians. Thank you for helping us keep the music alive for our students and community!

A “life skill” is a skill that is a necessary, every day skill that a person needs to get through life.

The Rocket Roasters visit teachers once a month and provides them with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate as well as snacks. Life skills we practice with our Coffee Cart include following a recipe, sequencing steps in an activity, fulfilling an order, appropriate social skills, sharing, peer-peer work, basic number recognition, reading and comprehension, health and hygiene, and so much more.
