Description: Parents/ guardians are solely responsible for any damages to District-owned, devices assigned for use of their students, once the student takes possession of them. Responsibility is without regard to the cause, fault, location, or circumstances. The District has designed and offers an internally managed Self-Funded Risk Pool Protection Plan, which is available to parents and students for those who want to mitigate personal liability for the cost of repair to assigned devices against unforeseen damage. The Protection Plan requires annual renewal upon registration of your student(s). The protection plan is available with respect to the assigned devices for students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade and, within limits of the plan, will cover damages regardless of whether the damage occurs at school or at home.
